Notre Dame has hired Mik Aoki as its new head baseball coach.
Aoki had a 114-108-1 record after four years at Boston College and made the NCAA tournament in 2009. BC was 30-28 last season.
Prior to going to BC, Aoki was the head coach at Columbia for five seasons posting an 87-140.
His record as a Division I head coach is 201-248-1.
I know the ACC is a very good baseball conference, and Boston College hasn't had much success in it. But those numbers don't really jump out at you.
You're right. With ND's recent success in baseball and seemingly unlimited funding I thought they'd do better.
