Cincinnati - UC head football coach Butch Jones has had to make a few changes to his coaching staff after Phil Zacharias resigned as Tight Ends Coach/Special Teams Coordinator.
Jones has moved Mark Elder from Running Backs coach to TE coach, Elder also is the recruiting coordinator for the Bearcats.
Replacing Elder as the Running Backs coach is Jahmile Addae.
In his former role, Addae worked directly with UC's student-athletes, providing guidance and counsel while ensuring they adhered to the seven core principles of Coach Jones' program, regarding intellectual, social, spiritual, physical, and skill development.
He also managed many of UC's off-the-field responsibilities including overseeing the highly-successful Cats In The Community program.
He came to UC after two seasons as a defensive graduate assistant at the University of Michigan working with the Wolverines' defensive secondary and scout team offense.
Addae was a graduate assistant in the football video department at West Virginia University in 2007. Prior to joining the Mountaineers staff, he taught English at Riverview High School.
He was a four-year starter and two-time captain at West Virginia. He was a finalist for the 2005 Ronnie Lott Trophy and was named to the watch list for the Jim Thorpe Award that same season. A three-time all-BIG EAST performer, Addae received first-team accolades his final two seasons (2004-05) after garnering second team honors as a sophomore (2002).
It is unknown at this time who will become Special Teams Coordinator.
