Less than one week after making an unofficial visit to the University of Cincinnati with his mother and siblings, Warren Central's Nick Temple pulled the trigger today (June 9) and announced his decision to be become a Bearcat.

The outside linebacker called Coach Jones this afternoon to inform the new UC head football coach of his decision to join the Bearcat football program and related a small part of the discussion.

"I called Coach Jones and said, 'What are you doing today?'" said the newest Bearcat.  "He said, 'I'm trying to find some recruits to win a national championship.'  I said, 'Well, add me to the list because I'm committing.'"

The Indiana outside linebacker also had offers from Colorado, Iowa, Iowa St., Louisville, West Virginia and Wisconsin among others.

The 5' 11"/200 pounder reflected on the recruiting process.

"When the Bearcats offered me, I said, 'I have to go see this place,'" said Temple.  "When I saw it, I fell in love with it.  When I took my mother down, she loved it, but I had a lot more thinking to do.  I was thinking about committing and did it today."

Temple said he will be cancelling his other visits

Nick Temple becomes the third UC recruit for their 2011 class joining Patrick Coyne (QB) from Hamilton Badin and Justin Murray from Sycamore.
